Classify the formula first

EAA, BCAA and single-amino-acid products answer different shopping tasks.

Compare actual amino-acid amounts

The number of ingredients matters less than whether clinically relevant amounts are disclosed.

Watch mixed workout formulas

Electrolytes, caffeine or other actives can turn an amino-acid product into a broader performance formula.

Verified catalog inventory

This Batch 2 category currently contains 6 manufacturer-sourced qualifying products. Planned comparison fields include: product_name, brand, product_type, eaa_profile, bcaa_g, leucine_g, total_amino_acids_g, added_electrolytes, stimulants, proprietary_blend, serving_size, source_url, last_verified.

What belongs in the broad Amino Acids directory?

This page is the parent category for current amino-acid products. It should help users distinguish single-amino products, BCAA formulas, EAA formulas and mixed amino/hydration products without duplicating the deeper BCAA and EAA comparison pages.

The current verified inventory includes Beyond Raw Precision Amino, NutraBio Base Aminos, NutraBio Alpha EAA, NutraBio BCAA 2500, Beyond Raw Chemistry Labs L-Leucine and XTEND EAA.

The current market splits into four practical product classes

Beyond Raw Chemistry Labs L-Leucine represents the clearest single-amino branch, with 3 g L-leucine per serving and no other ingredients on the current label. NutraBio BCAA 2500 represents a BCAA-only branch with 2.5 g total BCAAs in a 2:1:1 ratio. XTEND EAA and NutraBio Alpha EAA represent broader essential-amino-acid formulas. Beyond Raw Precision Amino and NutraBio Base Aminos combine multiple amino-acid classes in more complex formulas.

This creates the parent page's first information-gain layer: “amino acid supplement” is not a single formula type. The current market includes single-amino, BCAA-only, EAA-focused and mixed amino formulas.

Single-amino products need their own branch

A single-amino product such as Beyond Raw L-Leucine is structurally different from both BCAA and EAA products. It should not be compared using “number of EAAs” or “BCAA ratio” as the primary field. Instead, the useful fields are the specific amino acid, amount per serving, serving format and whether other active ingredients are present.

This branch is one of the strongest reasons to keep the broad Amino Acids page separate from the BCAA and EAA child pages.

BCAA products are a narrower subtype

NutraBio BCAA 2500 is a clean example of a BCAA-only product. Its current label provides 1,250 mg leucine, 625 mg isoleucine and 625 mg valine, creating a 2:1:1 ratio. Users who want ratio-level BCAA comparison should move to the dedicated BCAA page rather than expect this parent page to reproduce the full BCAA table.

EAA products are another narrower subtype

XTEND EAA currently lists all nine essential amino acids and 40 servings. NutraBio Alpha EAA is also an EAA-focused product and currently lists 8.2 g EAAs plus 6 g BCAAs, although its present NutraBio page shows sold out. The dedicated EAA page should own deeper comparisons of all-nine-EAA coverage, total EAA amount, BCAA subset and added hydration or focus ingredients.

Mixed amino formulas need explicit classification

NutraBio Base Aminos currently lists 10 g EAAs, 6 g BCAAs and a 2.8 g hydration matrix. Beyond Raw Precision Amino currently lists 10 g total essential amino acids, including all nine EAAs and 8 g BCAAs in a 2:1:1 ratio. These are not clean BCAA-only formulas and should not be treated as such merely because they contain BCAAs.

A parent-page classification field such as “single amino,” “BCAA-only,” “EAA,” or “mixed amino formula” prevents those products from being forced into the wrong child category.

Current availability should remain visible

NutraBio Base Aminos and NutraBio Alpha EAA are still current products but their present manufacturer pages show sold out. MenPS should separate current product identity from current purchase availability so a temporarily sold-out formula is not treated as discontinued.

Recommended parent-page data model

The broad page should record formula class, principal amino-acid architecture, serving format, whether BCAA ratio is disclosed, whether all nine EAAs are present, whether hydration or other actives are added, and current availability. It should then route the user to BCAA or EAA when deeper subtype fields become relevant.

Formula composition is not an efficacy ranking

Official manufacturer pages can verify amino-acid amounts, formula structure, serving format and availability. They do not independently establish that one finished product produces better recovery, muscle growth or performance outcomes than another.

Current-source verification

All six inventory rows were freshly checked against current manufacturer or brand-owned commerce sources during the September audit. XTEND EAA naming should be normalized consistently across the site, and current sold-out status should be rechecked before later material updates.

Useful follow-up questions

Is a BCAA supplement the same as an EAA supplement?

No. BCAAs are a subset of essential amino acids, while EAA products generally cover the broader essential-amino-acid set.

Why keep a broad Amino Acids page?

Because it covers single-amino and mixed formulas that do not fit cleanly into only BCAA or EAA.

Should mixed EAA+BCAA formulas be ranked as BCAA-only products?

No. They should be classified as mixed formulas and compared through the fields their current labels actually support.

Current product identity, composition and availability were checked against manufacturer or brand-owned commerce pages. These sources support catalog facts, not independent efficacy conclusions.
